Foxtrot Mike Hybrid Lower

This is a really cool offering from Foxtrot Mike.

They have released a lower for the PCC crowd. The Hybrid is a new 9mm PCC option. The feature that jumps out instantly and sets this pistol caliber carbine apart from the others is the polymer lower receiver. Particularly, the pistol grip which allows housing a spare Glock magazine.

The magazine inside the pistol grip is released with a pistol-style thumb button release. Now it feels different at first but getting fast reloads with this setup is very easy to do after a few dry fire runs.

The polymer lower receiver of Hybrid has an aluminum insert in the buffer tube attachment area to keep things strong. This lower comes with ambidextrous safety, magazine release, and bolt catch.

A super cool option for you PCC guys out there.

Benefits of being local #712

Being a local AIM customer has some perks. You can see the showroom and pick up the guns on the wall. Get a feel for what optic you may like or what safety selector feels best. The learning center wall is a great place to find out what you want on your next build.

You also get to see whatever guns we have in inventory in person, without worrying if it’s as cool in real life as in pictures. You can see and feel the products you ordered before you pay, just in case you end up not liking it and want to make a switch. You can avoid doing a return on something you were unsure of and get what you love right from the start.

So many perks, so little time. One of the best perks: the police trade-ins that are exclusive to local customers. Sometimes it’s a smaller number of trade-in Glocks or even FNs. Sometimes you get short-barrel shotguns that require a stamp from the lovely folks at the ATF. Sometimes you get used riot gear and soft body armor. It all depends on what comes in.

Currently, we have these sweet LE Trade-In Beretta 1301 tactical shotguns that are for local customers only.

If you are local come check them out! We have lots of cool things for you to pick up and play with!

Optic Cuts

Getting into red dots on pistols can be overwhelming at first. You want to get the best dot, but then you have to worry about optic cuts and making sure you have selected the right cut to run the red dot.

Different footprints go with different optics and some cuts cannot use adapter plates or adapter plates are not available, there are going to be tons of scenarios if you want to dig deep.

This is an excellent guide to explaining not only all the mounting points but also patterns, screw sizes, and models that fit what cut. Tons of really good information.

Matador Arms Montgo-9

The Stribog has exploded onto the scene for being a really fun gun at a really good price. The main complaint people had was that you cannot change the trigger or the grip without changing the lower out for one that takes Glock mags or scorpion mags. I personally have not had an issue with factory Stribog mags and the factory setup but I get it, people want to change stuff up to make it more personal to them.

Well, problem solved thanks to Matador Arms. You get this complete upper that is blowback, which lets you shoot without a buffer. Perfect for a little truck gun or backpack gun.

Matador Arms Montgo-9 upper receiver assembly comes with a 1/2×28″ threaded muzzle, non-reciprocating and reversible charging handle, a full-length pic rail on top, and a 3.5” pic rail section at the bottom of the handguard. The slots on the sides of the handguard are not M-LOK slots which is really the only thing that I kinda am bummed about but it isn’t a make or break.

It’s a pretty cool option for a fun little setup.

Night Vision Demo Event At Sugar Creek Range

This last weekend we went to Sugar Creek Range to do a really cool night vision demo event.

Everyone who came out had the opportunity to shoot suppressed guns utilizing helmet-mounted night vision with a laser and/or a night vision clip-on unit mounted on a rifle as well as given the opportunity to compete against others by time in a steel target competition.

We brought a couple of our aim ported barrels and window cut slides for people to try out, we also brought some of the offerings from Foxtrot Mike to let people see how awesome those are!

It was a really cool event especially if you have never shot with night vision, when they do another one, definitely go check it out!

Glock 43 Slides and Barrels

These are some of the most asked-for items we have, on social media anytime we post about a Glock barrel or slide, usually, the first question we get is ” What about for the 43?” Well, we have a couple options for you guys!

The Rose Gold barrel for your 43 just looks great, solid choice to break up all the black on the handgun. We will have some more color options at some point but we figured let’s give you guys the cooler stuff first.

Point 1 Tactics Hybrid Pistol

Now that the blog is up and running I can get back to action.

Last month I was able to take Point 1 Tactics Hybrid Pistol Class with Donovan Moore.

It was a 2-day class that blew my mind. Donovan is the man. The level that guy shoots is insane, even better is how he teaches you it’s possible for you to get to that level if you put in the work.

Day 1 was all about concealed carry applications and 100% accountability for every round that leaves your pistol.  We put up a USPSA Target and everyone wrote down their name and for every shot you missed outside the zone you added a tally.

So much information but it was not an overload. Everyone got to see him run his cold start and then try it themselves. Anyone who has passed his cold start time of 11.5 clean was pushed to do the 8 seconds time.

As you can see I failed clean but technically harder…. didn’t count

We went over trigger prep for a good 45 mins and it was the most informative way I have ever heard trigger prepping explained

Day 2 was more on speed and pushing what you knew and learned to the absolute max. It was a lot of fun and in direct sunlight, draining. I was beaten up and I made the wise choice to sign up for his 2-day vehicle class for the next 2 days.

Sadly I did not get a lot of pictures the second day because I was so involved in the shooting I did not think to take pictures.

If you have the chance to take a class with Donovan, do it. It will make you a better shooter.

AIMPOINT DUTY RDS

The very much anticipated Duty RDS from Aimpoint has arrived. This will end up being the go-to optic for a lot of guys, you get a lot of the things the T-2 does well at a much more affordable price. It’s a tad bigger than the T-2 but smaller than the Pro model, which makes it a solid choice for those wanting to add a magnifier to their setup as well.

You get a bright, crisp 2 MOA dot that’s perfect for medium-range target engagements. All of the new windage and elevation adjustments are flush mounted and waterproof, removing the need for caps. The turrets provide audible “clicks” when zeroing the optic. The dot brightness intensity switch is a digital keypad and the buttons can that can easily be pressed while wearing gloves. The pressure forged aluminum alloy housing provides durability against extreme abuse and drastic temperature changes. The sight is vibration and shock resistant and submersible up to 80 feet. It is powered by a single CR2032 battery and ACET technology provides over 3 years of constant-on use at daylight position 7 and even longer on the night vision settings. The Duty RDS comes with a one-piece torsion nut mount and the optic features flip-up lens covers – the front is solid and the rear transparent.

Pretty cool optic from Aimpoint meant to take a beating and keep going, I may try to convince the boss to let me test one just to see how much of a beating it can take!
