From German Sports Guns and American Tactical Imports, we are happy to bring you the GSG-1911. GSG has taken the time in modeling a great plinker after a truly iconic American firearm. This combines the look, feel, and safety features found on most 1911s, the little extras only found on higher-end models and the economical value of shooting .22 long rifle rounds. In fact, aside from the reduced recoil and the savings in ammo costs, you might actually forget you’re not shooting a .45acp 1911!
The pistol features a 5” barrel and only weighs 34.4oz with an empty 10-round magazine. Trigger pull is a smooth 4.2- 5.5lbs. Like a Kimber or a higher-end Springfield Armory 1911, the GSG-1911 has an ambidextrous hammer safety, high beavertail grip safety, a trigger reminiscent of Delta’s lightweight trigger, and checkered walnut grips. The rear sight is adjustable and the front sight height can be adjusted using either of the two included sights.
GSG has also gone above and beyond in providing everything you will need for the pistol (except ammo). Along with the gun itself, you get an instruction manual, cable lock, one 10-round magazine, two additional front sights, nylon cleaning brush, and all necessary hardware. Even better, 70-80% of the parts are interchangeable with standard 1911 parts so you can customize the look and feel to suit your needs!
It’s hard to go wrong with the GSG-1911 as an affordable trainer utilizing a time-proven design.
